    Can goats get laryngitis????

Thank you so much for all the responses! I went ahead and got the 500 mg chewable and am giving it morning and evening. I will say, she is not a big fan.... She's not squeaking as much and actually has a sound coming out. I did dose her and her mom with ivermectin just to make sure she...

Yeah, she's usually very noisy when she's hungry. I often wonder if I will go deaf one of these days.....

    Can goats get laryngitis????

Is there a specific brand of vitamin c that is better or that I need to avoid? For the thermometer, this is probably a sill question, but would I use it under the tongue?

    Can goats get laryngitis????

This is what the discharge looks like this morning. Still had a great appetite but just made a squeak sound instead of her loud call.

    Can goats get laryngitis????

This may seem like a weird question..... One of my goats started losing her voice. I was out of town over the weekend and when I got back, I noticed her calls were very quiet but rough (she is by far my loudest goat:idunno). My brother said he had noticed she would cough, but I haven't heard...

    Weird Rash on Goat's Leg

Oops! I sure hope the parasites aren't immune to the Ivermectin. I stopped the wormer and I'll see if I have yogurt to give her. How long will I need to add it? I thought I would put a picture of my mamma goat on here😁 I was told she was a kiko, but I am not so sure. Her babies definitely...

    Weird Rash on Goat's Leg

Okay, wanted to do an update. Finally was able to get Listerine and also picked up a milking stand (such a game changer!!). I have used it 3 days so far and her back legs are already looking less irritated. Still a little ways to go, but she is definitely doing better. Regarding the...

    Weird Rash on Goat's Leg

That is good to know about the minerals. I started them with the loose, but thought they needed the block. Glad I have both to give them. This feels like a silly question, but, is there a particular place/website that I can look up my area to see if it's deficient?

    Weird Rash on Goat's Leg

@Mini Horses Okay, I am looking at different types of Ivermectin. Is there a particular brand you use and if it says use for cattle, is that okay, or is there one for goats? I will definitely try the Listerine. Would you recommend using it full strength or dilute it?

    Weird Rash on Goat's Leg

I just got my location updated. Thank you for pointing it out. I forgot that part :thumbsup Man, now I feel guilty. It's been so miserable and wet, that they have not wanted to come out of the shelter and so I have been just feeding them up there. I wish I had looked sooner. I am pretty...

    Weird Rash on Goat's Leg

We actually just cleaned out there shelter and didn't see any ants. But I defiantly won't rule that out, in case there was ants before we cleaned them. I moved them to an different area before the area got cleaned, so any ants might have already left. When I moved them, I noticed the red on...

    Weird Rash on Goat's Leg

Hello. So I am in Tennessee and in the last few days, we have had buckets of rain dumped on us. I have two goats, who have a covered shelter, but the rain blew in the last day and got everything wet. I believe my mama goat might have lice and/or mites, so she is has patchy fur (if anyone...

    Calf With Swollen Cheek

Thank you for the information. I am trying to figure out whether he has the soft or the bony. It is still firm but the swelling has moved down. So his throat feels very puffy. I am concerned it is affection him tube/bottle feeding. This morning I went to tube him and I can't get the tube...

    Calf With Swollen Cheek

I am very sure that it isn't coccidiosis. He didn't have it until after I switched formulas. It is doing better now. I think it is from all the diarrhea since it is a bright red not dark like if it was internal.

I'm actually about to go give him some electrolytes, just to see if it helps with the scouring issues.
