Mom noticed the haircut right away and thought it looked good. MIL did something to her back and was at the hospital, so she missed the party. Dunno if she saw the haircut yet. I haven't heard much other than she is now back home. Had to figure out different child care this week as she can't...
Mom said someone at the park on Friday thought munchkin was a little girl.. so I tried cutting his hair this morning. I think it looks decent, except I took a little too much over one ear. That's the only part that doesn't look ok. I only cut above his ears and at the back. It was a bit...
Not revealing until after the party lol, then I'll post some pictures. I'm pretty sure my friends and family don't follow my thread but I'm not taking a chance to spoil the surprise. My mom and mil have been going nuts having to wait. I've had the info almost 2 weeks now.
It's a specific type of plum that was bred to make prunes, regular plums might work but I've never tried it. I'm hoping I can make dried prunes in a few years. Hubby and munchkin love them.
Went to Green Acres, bought a prune tree, plus another lemon, a clementine, a navel orange, a mulberry, a blueberry, and a gooseberry. Plus some corn seeds, sweet corn and a neat looking popcorn. Couldn't find any dent corn seeds, probably online somewhere.
We checked by the post office on the...
Tried to roll the windows down so I didn't have to leave the doors open and he woke up :th
So we went inside and had some lunch. Then I tried to install the new baby gate and it seems very wobbly. Going to have to have hubby look at it, might even need a brace or something; it's wobbly because...
Get a ceramic egg, they make them very realistic and even get the weight really close. The chicken doesn't like pecking the hard egg so less likely to continue eating the real eggs. Downside is they are so realistic that the egg gatherer sometimes collects them... Sometimes raccoons or snakes...
He fights naps now, we struggle to make him take one all day. Car rides definitely help but he does get very cranky when he's tired. Last night he was very upset at bedtime, almost a full tantrum, I finally got him to sleep by snuggling with him on the floor right before my arm fell asleep.
Bought a few of these at Walmart last night, I'm excited to see if they work. They don't have a greenhouse dome though so I'll have to make something. Reusable seed trays! The cheap ones I can sometimes get two growing seasons out of but these should hopefully last a lot longer.
I have a few...
Absolutely gorgeous day today, sunshine and not too hot, light breeze intermittently. We have a ton of plans for getting stuff done around the property, so of course hubby gets called in to do an emergency service call. Ugh. I dropped him off at his work truck and go to the tree nursery, at...
Do you track the mileage of the truck when you drop it off and pick it up? Seems very fishy to me that they keep holding onto it for so long and it keeps having issues. Can you go to another repair place?
Depending on how bad the t posts are bent, your DS should be able to unbend them. My hubby has done that quite a few times with used t posts, usually finds a tree with two trunks close together and uses it to brace the t post and then pushes the bend out of it. They rarely end up perfectly...
I'd love to but we would probably get in trouble. I'll see if hubby can get his hunting license and deer tag this year. We also had a buddy with a bow tag for deer and tried to get him to get a deer on our property, he was going to split it with us. He didn't see any when he was out here but did...
Yep, they damaged a lot of our young trees before we got bigger hoops installed around them. The deer, or at least one, figured out where to hop into my fenced garden and destroyed a lot of my plants last year. This year the garden is going to be in a different spot with 6' fencing, plus I'm...
Oh, and the wild rabbits are usually spooked by the car when you drive into the property, so you have to drive slow so you don't hit the idiot rabbit panic running in front of you instead of moving off to the right where there's no fence. I want to keep the wild rabbits separated from my rabbits...
I'm spoiled by the white leghorn eggs, they are massive. The Easter egger hens are full grown so the egg size isn't likely to increase from what it's at now, they were hatched last year. I just was expecting bigger eggs since the leghorns are the moms but I guess the Easter egger rooster...
I'm doing ok, munchkin is very active now he's 17 months and he's running everywhere and trying to climb everything. He's starting to say more words and understands a lot of what we say.
Sounds like we are going to be due in the same month again, we are just starting to tell everyone about our...
Munchkin is outgrowing his giant play pen, so I ordered some long child fence/gate things. One for around the fireplace and one for the hallway to the laundry/den. I think we might need another to block off the kitchen but we'll see if installing all the child proofing things on drawers and...
You could also get a child lock to hold the freezer closed as an alternative to locking it with the keys. Then you wouldn't have to worry about trying to access if the keys got misplaced.
