Howdy all, all is well here. I worked this morning for a while, got a ton of cleaning done. Going to go back in a couple hours to milk again. Enjoying this new life as a goat girl.

Yup! My people are good to me! We work 8 hour shifts, I was working the afternoon shift the past two days, so I didn't start until 12:45, but finished around 9:30 (I know it works out to about 9 hours). I got the 6:45 today and the 5:45 tomorrow though.

Most of our milk here is used in cheese making, and sold storefront, or used in restaurants and fine dining owned by the same company that owns the dairy. We do use a fair amount of milk for our bottle babies too. Currently we are milking 21-22 goats twice a day. And as you may have seen in the...

Slept in/went back to bed today. It is beautiful here!

Not sure about the testing. But it is incredibly heavily regulated. It gets heavily cleaned daily, the wood slats allow the poop to go through to the concrete and not be visible to visitors, we clean under that every couple days.

Morning, been up for a while. Got the laundry going, and most of my stuff packed. Tossing in a few things that I think I will need for the next three months. Got a couple last errands to run today, and then moving this afternoon for a while. May or may not be gone from this site for a while...

Been interesting to leave so much behind, but also so exciting. Definitely grateful every day for what 4-H has done for my life. Will try to share goat dairy stuff if its allowed, I'm certainly excited for that adventure!
