    I've seen some shepherds are already getting lambs...... Mine should start lambing in a week or two...hope to post some photos of the little Scottish blackface.....I'm expecting about 30 lambs this year....down from a few years ago....I didn't keep as many mature ewes as I normally keep...

    I would like to know from those who feed Alfalfa pellets the correct amount to feed sheep (per head)....can I supplement half their hay ration with the pellets and could I even use ONLY the pellets for their daily feeding? Thanks, Rusty

    I had a 12 yr. old Scottish Blackface ewe who still had pretty good teeth and was in great condition produce a beautiful, healthy ewe lamb. The breeder who helped me get started had ewes lambing older than that...closer to 15 yrs.. It depends on their condition and health. I love the older...
