If you're willing to travel to Western ohio (an hour west of columbus) we recently priced a package of more then 5 for $3500. those were a gelding, two males, and 3-4 breeding females. I don't remember specifics, because I don't handle the salesetc, but You CAN find them reasonably.
While reading the forum, I thought that most every post is when there's a problem. Don't be discouraged or think that something WILL go wrong. Be prepared, but don't be sure. I've had 4 litters and two losses that were my stupidity. My bunnies tend to do well without my intervention.
Anatolian Shepherds don't have near the coat that a rough collie does. I wasn't talking about just being left outdoors (I have no problems with farm dogs living in the barn), I was talking about the lack of proper grooming. When a collie is blowing coat, they need brushed at least once a week...
I like both herding breeds and LGDs, but I hate seeing them left outdoors without proper grooming. May just be what I've seen, but I just can't stand it.
Penicillin G from TSC works. You can buy the injectable and some needles and syringes. Drip it in the eye. Do not inject it.
Don't use durapen, it burns.
You could also try terrimycian.
Both are affordable.
An adult new Zealands is said to need 8 oz. per day.
That is weight, not volume. 8 oz. in volume is less than 8 oz. in weight. Weigh your feed, brands weigh different ammounts.
Are they both in good shape? Proven? Maybe find another buck and try him. If not, then try a different doe. I hate to move rabbits for things like this, but there's not point in having them unless they produce. (Unless they're your pet)
