    Hello all. Have a kune kune boar, very happy and relaxed pig. His hair is falling out when I pet him. No sign of rash, injury, no excessive scratching or rubing on his part. His hair is growing back in in some places. Here r some pics.... Any suggestions? Thanks! Alicia

    Update... She is very comfortable walking g up to trailer and getting head inside with front legs touching trailer. It's the step up into trailer she is resisting. Yesterday with hubby leading her and me standing right behind her butt we got her loaded. Hooray! Praised and grained in trailer...

    Saw vet this morning. she stained the eye and found what appears to be scar tissue from a healing trauma. no obvious signs of blunt force trauma though, may have been chemical trauma from urine scald....so he either hit his face or peed in his eye...gross. He is now on antibiotic ointment and...

    Update....Talked to vet, he clarified that if he knew what the cause was steroid ointment could be used if needed, since we still don't know don't use it. Goat is acting great still, eye is now open so not light sensitive anymore but still cloudy and now red. Have appt tomorrow to take him in...

    Okay. I found some good ointment, it's called tobradex. I have used it on myself for eye infections....it's a steroid and anitbiotic. Have my eye rinse also.

    Thanks! I checked him again...still eating, alert and no behavior change. no pus, crusty mucous. He has a clear liquid leaking oit of eye, a little only. can't see redness around eye. Will have hubby help me and check again

    I was just reading on eye injury, have concern at place as well... found that goats don't have tears ducts. Have u tried to lift eye lod and check for anything stuck? u can also try to rinse out with a buffered saline mix.

    Hi all. im not sure what happened to our buck, but have noticed his eye is watery, starting to cloud and was slightly swollen around it. my best bet is he got hit by another's horn. no pus, no redness, no cuts or scratches.     That in aware of nothing has changed in diet. He is just constantly in pee.....his the does our other wethers. We did have more does go into heat this year than last so he has been very very active in peeing on himself and sticking his face in others
