Kidding threads- start new or continue off previous thread?

I agree, I like to start a new thread each year. The ones that are ongoing every year get to be really long.

    Nubian or mini Nubian?

Yes, 16% will be fine (that is actually what I am feeding right now, but when I want to put weight on, my Nubians do seem to fair better on a 18%) if that's what you normally feed. She's not terribly thin, just could use a bit more covering. She's a very beautiful girl, and I'm sure she'll...

    Nubian or mini Nubian?

Just as you posted, I edited my post to say get 18% (protein) goat feed to be more clear, LOL. I agree with getting her tested for G6S, that is very important.

    Nubian or mini Nubian?

She definitely looks purebred Nubian to me. She is pretty thin though. How much does she weigh? If possible, I would start her on 24/7 alfalfa hay if you haven't already, and a good 18% goat (not all-stock) grain. I would also get a fecal done ASAP.

    Zaree Meadows 2019 Kidding Thread

Another breeding is underway! Saffron (registered 88% Kiko) to "Joe", a 6-7 month old registered purebred Kiko buck that we are borrowing from the same breeder we got Saffron and Mazil from. The resulting kids will be purebred Kikos. And this little cutie is a doeling we just got from the...

    Zaree Meadows 2019 Kidding Thread

Thank you! That is so cool that you showed against Foxwood! I'm so excited about Demelza (Seraphina). :weee We weren't looking to add another doe, but I *just so happened* to see that someone in MS was selling her whole herd, and Demelza caught my eye right away. And YES! I really, really want...

    Long time no see!

I will be sure to let you know then! We do need to sell at least one of them at some point (honestly, sooner rather than later), but I don't even want to think about that right now... I may be a little too attached. But I really don't need TWO Nubian bucks for three does.

    Zaree Meadows 2019 Kidding Thread

Again, I've been absent since July (only popping in once or twice in that time)! We've had a crazy, crazy busy fall! Our first does to kid (3 registered Nubians) should be due from February 9th-16th, if they're all pregnant... but they all missed their latest cycle, so I'm almost 99%...

    Latestarter's 2019 kidding

So exciting! :weee We need pictures though.... My first 3 does are all *supposed* (not yet confirmed bred) to be due in mid February, they'll be kidding right on top of each other. o_O But I wanted it that way, I like kids to be born in groups so that if there are single births, they have...
