Yep, you should keep an eye on who is eating too much. All my ND's are fat, and eat more than my Alpine. I feed my Alpine separately while I'm milking her.
Why not try both? I (personally) prefer Nigerian Dwarf milk, because it's sweeter and thicker, but when I mix it with my Alpine milk it tastes like the milk you buy in the store. I like both breeds a lot! Also, are you going to breed them? You could get a Nigerian buck, and a full size female...
Everything is normal, other than the color. She has a very soft udder. The blood sinks to the bottom of the jar also. The milk also had no blood clots in it tonight! YAY!
The alpine has been in milk before. We figured out what it is though! Not mastitis! YAY!!! She has pink milk (not an actual disease).

Hi! My name's Abby, and I'm new to BYH. Some of Y'all may know me from BYC as TroyerSis.
We're having some milk issues, and I need some advice. First, my ND goat who is being dried off, is getting clots in her milk. I do not think she has mastitis. She doesn't have any of the other symptoms...
