Have 3 does due the 7th myself, 2 of which are juniors. One is already starting to pull fur, the other- nada. If she is showing signs of wanting to make a nest let her have her box. If it is new box she may 'mark' it as hers but that doesn't necessarily mean she is going to use it for a litter...
When I ran out of peanut butter one time I used frosting from a can. Worked great and now I trade off with the bait, thinking the larger "menu" gets more customers...
I couldn't help myself...
:love:love:loveMeet Thurston Jr. and Lovey, the lost Howell kids! :love:love:love
I only had two litters survive this year, out of three so that's not quite so terrible... One was from Ella and Pookie, a Flemish Giant buck I borrowed. The other was from Ma'tilda...
Boy howdy it's been a while... but I have been lurking.
I hurt my back June 22 and haven't been able to do anything with my critters except love n feed 'em. My does are too heavy for me to pick up (still) so no baby bunz at my house.:hit I did finally go to a Dr. and am having surgery next...

Not trying to hijack your thread @Pastor Dave, just catching up and think @goatgurl's buck needs to meet my doe!
Still no clue why her ears do that at times but would love it if they stayed that way. As she has gotten older (6 months now) they do it less often. Maybe I have straightened them...
A local puppy mill was busted and over forty small dogs were taken. Eleven of those had to be euthanized, besides the 3 found dead in their cages. As soon as the woman found out she was being investigated she started giving away her animals as fast as she could so who knows how many she had to...
I hate to ask but did this little guy make it thru the flood? He is such a nice calf, especially for being a month early. I just love those beefmaster ears.
Great info in your post and another Thank You for sharing! Thinking I will go with this time-table myself, it is time to breed one of my does. I have noticed she doesn't like the second round (8-10 hrs. later) and is mean to my buck at the second breeding. I usually have to hold her for that...
I can't keep weight on my lionhead either, even with all the treats he gets. He is THE house bunny so he gets lots of raisins n peanuts. Nelson is very active, he even pushes his hidey-house to the middle of his floor so he can do laps around it. Silly guy even hides his toys n bowl inside (he...
