    Size and Genes question?

I know I take a terrible pic...model wasn't cooperating either. But she is a perfect little "half-basketball" when sitting.

    Size and Genes question?

This is Floppy...has the prettiest sky-blue eyes..not seen in photo, of course. @Bunnylady , yes, I'm sure she is a mix....her dam colored like a Cali, but flop ears. Siblings had flop ears also, but they were colored (spotted b/w, black solid). Sire black, not sure about ears. My NZW buck came...

    Size and Genes question?

That's what I don't know is adult weight of lop...as I said she is 4.5# at 4 months. I've never had one before...just meat rabbits...she was a rescue.

    Size and Genes question?

I have a BEW lop doe, currently 4 months old and 4.5 pounds. Buck is NZW, currently 5 months old and 5.5 pounds. Only producing meat stock. When old enough...is the size difference too much? I know that the NZW will be 10#+-. And is there a lethal white gene such as in dogs and horses?

    One and done?

I had this same thing happen recently. Rebreeding a first time doe that had lost her litter. But the one time was very vigorous.. he hung on and pulled her over with him.

    Breeding Young Does and Bucks

When they are sitting in their cage just look underneath. That's what I did with the one in my avatar. He's relaxed and dropped... it'll look like he sat in bubble gum:).

Just one time? Does it work THAT fast?

Bred my Cali doe with my VM buck 26 days ago. She is 2ish and he was 6 months. The morning breed went fine. He mounted successfully 3 times in about 10-15 minutes. Same day that evening, when I put her back in cage, she wanted NO part of him. Oh, she wanted a part, but with teeth bared! I...

    Help...Early Birthing!

My Californian doe is past 2 weeks... I'm not by my calendar, but I think her 27th day is on the 21st. Would it be possible to palpate her now for practice? Even if she's still open, I won't rebreed til it gets cooler.... we have 105° heat index yesterday and today. The rest of July isn't...

    Help...Early Birthing!

Thank you for the link. I read it and it does seem easy. And I've seen my dad do it many times when he was alive. And he always seemed to know how many bunnies there were going to be. I'll have to practice before I breed again. My does are gentle, maybe they won't complain to much. The father...
