I found a highland/dexter and was wondering if she would be an okay milk cow. I would only be looking for about a half gallon at most once a day milking (with calf sharing). I know that dexters make good small farm milk cows, but is it reasonable to consider this cross for milking?

Hello, My sweet, two week old ram lamb has started to head butt me. This is not a problem now, but I am concerned about him being aggressive in the future. My vet told me it was best to wether him at two months, so that was my plan. Is there any way to stop this behavior? Thanks!

The ewe is doing great and had a single ram lamb last night. Both are happy and healthy as of now!

This evening after I gave my ewe 10cc of her liquid medication from a syringe, she started choking. After she stopped coughing/choking, she had some liquid dripping out of her mouth. After that, she seemed completely fine and her breathing sounded normal for the time being. Should I be concerned...

My young ewe is pregnant and should be close to lambing! I believe she had low blood sugar but she has been getting propylene glycol for a few days. She is acting fairly normal but is laying down more frequently than normal and has somewhat increased rate of breathing. I am most concerned about...

I checked on my ewe this morning and she was grinding her teeth. She had bloat a few days ago but I thought she was recovered. There was also some bobcat work going on outside her stall that maybe made her stressed? She seemed generally okay though. Should I do anything to help her?

The ewe is acting completely normal now other than labored and quick breathing. She still has her wool on and the weather reached 70 degrees today. Could she be hot, is this a symptom of ketosis, or is she getting ready to lamb? Thanks again for all the help!

Thank you for everybody's help and support! She is looking better now but I will try to give her some more nutritional intake. It looks like the lambs are close to being born! What a hectic but exciting learning experience:)
