    Freemartin?

Got this doe 6 weeks ago and the owner didnt give any information. Not sure if she was bred or not. She never came in heat in this six weeks. We have a young buck with her and he tries to mount her. A friend said she might be a freemartin. Her anatomy looks normal to me. What do you think?

    Could my goats be pregnant?

The does are some cross of Tedda/Barbari which is similar to Alpine goats minus the heavy milk production. One is 2 years old and the other is over 1 year old. Now is their ideal breeding season so they kid in spring. I am thinking the same as you that if they were around male goats before they...

    Could my goats be pregnant?

I got two new does and the owner didnt have much information to offer other than they were raised in a large herd. I have had them 17 days and neither has shown any signs of being in heat. I know they come in heat about every 21 days so i have been waiting but no tail wagging, no excess crying...

We got a new goat and I am thinking he got shipping fever that turned into pneumonia. Here is the timeline in short... First he had a dry cough with no fever and no other symptoms so I gave him dewormer in case it was lung worms. Shortly after he got a fever and the cough turned wet with a runny...

I dont think he had a high wormload because he didnt really have any signs of worms other than the cough indicating...

    Young Bunny love...

I have two New Zealand rabbits I just bought from a shop owner who didn't know their age. I am guessing are around 5-7 weeks old because their weight is roughly 800 grams and according to a chart that should be their age range. Anyways they are still little. However, the little guy has been...

    Homesteading in a new country...

Hi I am Ayesha and I am originally from America but now I live in Pakistan. I grew up on a farm and had all sorts of the normal animals farmers keep in America. Living in another country has given me a whole new set of challenges from different feed,to different medications, to different breeds...

    Coughing young buck....

I have a young buck that's about 8 months old that i recently purchased. He had an annoying cough but it was only a few times a day and he was happy and healthy. He was very active and eager to eat and when I looked at his eyelids they are a healthy dark pinkish red color so I thought if he had...
