    New babies!

Born this morning. 2 .little girls. First time freshener and I walked out to feed at 7:30 and found 2 babies and no evidence of afterbirth. Mom seems good! I’ve seen one baby latch on but the other doesn’t seem interested. Advice? It’s 3:30 pm and they are alive and seem healthy (other then...

    Update on Lucky Bunny

Thought I’d update. Lucky is completely well now. Eating and drinking well. Hopping and playing. Happy and cuddly again! I’m excited about warmer weather. I am going to build an enclosure for him outside and bring him in at night.

    Update on Lucky Bunny

Wanted to let y’all know that Lucky Bunny responded to treatment. He’s eating like crazy again, pooping all over his cage and hopping around like his normal self. I haven’t let him roam the house yet bc he has only been stable on his feet for a day, eating normally for a day and he’s still not...

    Update on Lucky Bunny

The Parkinson’s like shaking of the head has almost stopped this morning. He’s eaten on his own a little. His ears have stayed down, except for right after the ear drops were put in. He actually cuddled a little when my husband held him for the syringe feeding and medicine. I was so scared...

    Update on Lucky Bunny

It’s been touch and go with his eating and drinking. Then I noticed some new behaviors. Shaking his head, holding his ears up. And a few nights ago, what appeared to be a seizure. It happened again yesterday morning and I rushed him to the local animal hospital. We are treating him for ear...

    Bunny not pooping or peeing

He does still groom himself. The biggest change is setting in the litter box for hours. Not eating and drinking like a full grown man, lol. Not running around the house when he’s taken out of his cage. He will hide his head under a blanket. He has lost weight and his pellets are tiny.

    Bunny not pooping or peeing

I’ve given him both store bought and from my yard. Same response from both. And his tummy is soft, not hard.

    Bunny not pooping or peeing

He is a house bunny. He lives a cage but runs around the house in the evenings when we are home. He lost an eye a couple of months ago when he was a free range, outdoors bunny. Don’t know if he is neutered. His teeth look good! His gums look good! We have no idea how old he is bc he was a stray...

    Bunny not pooping or peeing

Lucky, my lop is going down hill fast. Tomorrow is NYE. No vet available. I’ve given lots of greens, he eats a small amount, small amount of Timothy Hay and drinks a small amount of sweetened water. I’ve been syringe feeding the last couple of days, 2x per day. One syringe each time. I cleaned...

    Rabbit not drinking

well, today he is acting funny again. Not eating or drinking and staying in the litter box. His poop pellets are very small. I tried more rose leaves, asparagus, carrots and he won’t eat. So I’ve added water to pellets and I’m using the syringe. How much and how often should I do this?

    Rabbit not drinking

I have given him rose leaves and he likes them. I guess I should start providing him with “outside greens” along with his food.?

    Rabbit not drinking

He is better today. Eating and drinking from a bowl, not the bottle. I syringe fed him last night, purées veggies and water. He was so listless. I didn’t think he would be alive today. But a pleasant surprise! He is fine!

    Rabbit not drinking

My lip eared bunny is not drinking. I noticed about about a week ago that his fur felt coarse. Then he seemed to be sleeping more and lethargic. Today he hasn’t eaten or drank any water. I’ve even put carrots and lettuce in his cage.

    How to keep them separated?

Just an observation here, but the buck DOES find a way to the females! And sometimes, the girls find a way to the buck! Is it possible to keep them separate? They are escape artists. No holes in fence or gate and I have found the buck in with the girls. We have tried to keep them separate as...

    Winter shelter for pygmies?

We have 4 Nubian pygmies. All 4 under a year old. One buck, one wether, 2 dams. How much shelter do they need in East Texas when it snows? We enclosed a car port and have a lean to that is covered by trees. The lean to is covered on 3 sides and the top had an overhang. The carport is completely...

    Buck and doe?

Thank you. We did exactly this with goat and sheep fencing over the weekend. Our buck is going nuts to get in the pen with them. Now I’m wondering if the girls are just in heat. Daisy doesn’t feel pregnant to me now. The tightness in her belly is slack.. (Haven’t has a chance to contact the...

    Buck and doe?

Thank you for all the advice. My husband will contact the vet tomorrow. He was under the impression they wouldn’t come into heat until 7-8 months. Oh, the learning curve. We are going to look for a whether to put with our buck as we would like to breed in the future.
