    We are thankful to have a woodstove here as well. I'm sure even Michigan can't hold a candle to an Alaska snow! Our boys are 9, 7, 4, and 2. The older two chop with Dad's supervision and all of them help with the hauling. You just can't teach that in a school room!

    Thank you! We are in Mid-Michigan zone 4b. Ah yes the stone. That is one of many future projects. The barn once was double this size and we plan to bring it back to it's former glory. Happy to meet some fellow homeschoolers and boy parents! We couldn't agree more, they sure do love the farm life...

    Antibiotic usage in calves?

    I have a 12 day old calf who is showing signs of sickness (not eating much / diarrhea) so I gave him some Dura-pen, but it doesn't say on the bottle how often to give him a dose, it only says how much to give, depending on weight. Anybody use this product before and know how often to dose...
