yup, that's why we keep the bottom wire hot. The cattle would bend and stretch the wire by pushing their head thru the bottom to get to that grass that's always greener than the other side.
Hey.......
I havent been able to post on your page much. Been rough around here too, though a different situation. Wish we could get together and cry and pray and find some goats to giggle at.
Anyway, I've been thinking about you and Spencer. It always makes me smile to see the pics you...
Well, I do declare! Y'all are all a lil off your rocker!
The way I see it if your a norther or a souther, you'd do well to remember that a whistling woman and a crowing hen never come to a good end!!
Bless your hearts! I reckon it wont be long till y'all are all gonna be whistling Dixie...
aww, hun. Your in such pain right now. I'm so sorry. I cant even begin to imagine.
We shall double our efforts at prayer for Spencer and FOR YOU.
I'd hug you if I could. go have a good long cry, have a chat with God and then Try to sleep a little. Your exhausted.
:drool

My goats are all horned, mostly because I don't care if they have horns or not so I dont see the need in putting them thru the dehorning process.
One of the reasons I don't care is that I wouldn't feel safer around de-horned goats........Maybe my goats are strange, I don't know. But when they...
I got behind and am trying to get caught up so I am more than several posts behind. But, for future reference, finger nail polish works great for marking pups.
I started out by painting a toe nail (different colors for each pup), but that wore off too fast. I ended up making a strip down the...
HAHA! While in highschool, I worked part-time at a Dressage Stable as a groomer/exerciser. One of my jobs was to maintain the various clips on the 40 horses kept there.
There are a number of reasons for clipping, and a number of different styles, each style with its own purpose, esp in...
I'm sorry Woodsie. It's got to be frustrating.
However, if I were the farmer that found her eating my calf, I would expect compensation ESP since you've been having trouble with this dog getting out.
BUT, if I were you, I'd argue that the calf could have been killed by predators, or even...
I wont leave halters on ANY critter for many of the same reasons that goodhors mentioned. Cattle stick their heads in alot of strange places, scratch and get hooves caught.....
Leaving the halter on them while unattended is begging for a disaster in my opinion
Rub her legs a little, they may be numb from laying on them so long.
You can also take a beach towel or something similar and use it as a hand held sling to help her develop some muscle tone.
If the weather is nice and sunny, try to get her outside......sunshine works wonders for all of us...
