Catching up, spent the morning at the vet. Caleb needed a baseline exam and some meds. I also wanted the vet to look at Caleb's foot, the one he's been favoring. It was cut, he got penicillin.

While my husband never served overseas he was proud to be 11 Bravo, infantry, trained at Dix and Benning. He tried to go active in the early 80s, but was rejected for high blood pressure.
"Follow me, I am the infantry!"

P.S. While I was sitting in the exam room I noticed that Caleb had some feces stuck in the fur on his rear end. I lifted up his tail to get a better look, then laughed.
It wasn't feces...I've never had a male dog before, especially an UNaltered dog!

Vet Visit
Signed in for "walk in" at 7:30ish. Went back about 9:15, waited about an hour before getting in a room The waiting room was FULL.
Caleb was a bit antsy, not surprising considering the number of dogs there. But he got lots of petting from the gentleman sitting next to me. Then once...

After this morning's first walk I put Caleb in his day crate with a frozen chicken foot (foster mom's recommendation), then drove about a mile to the vet to add Caleb to today's "walk in" sign up...
Well, not as good a day for the integration.
The closest yet, but then Caleb barked, and Debbie ran.
Still have hope that they will eventually get along.
