Ultravac 5in1 Quote: "Provides rapid and effective protection against dangerous clostridial diseases including tetanus, blackleg, pulpy kidney, malignant oedema and black disease." I assume that's pretty much your CDT?
Cow mineral for sure available, it's a dairy area. Not sure if I can find it...
Thank you for the hugs. :hugs
Shots and supplements? Erm... nothing... :hide
The local store is ordering me in a smaller quantity of 5-in-1 vaccine as they only stock it in larger packs. Everyone will get their shots as soon as it comes in.
They get a horse supplement Equilibrium Mineral Mix...
I liked horns. I really did. I didn't want to dis-bud but after having my buck use his horns on my ponies and on me I wasn't thrilled with them and decided any future buck would be hornless. My blind wether can be quite dangerous if he doesn't realize who is near him and he's got me good a few...
Sounds a bit like here. The whole farm has electric fence (bull strength, mains powered) but I want a solar charger so I can fence small areas of the landlord's paddocks for the goats to clear weeds in the paddocks I don't rent. I live in a very sunny area and I have never heard of covering half...
Very sad update. She was doing better, well enough for me to go to town thinking she'd be fine for an hour or two. Unfortunately while I was away she managed to escape from the stable she was left in with her mother and brother and was injured and had to be euthanized. :hit
I have noticed today...
Thanks, I wasn't sure how much I was going to need when my neighbor asked me so I just drew up enough for a few days.
I feel so mean turning her into a pin cushion but she is looking a bit better and still eager to eat so... :fl
Erm... nope! My two 'oops' bred doelings both surprised me. They had a bit of an udder but I didn't think they were ready to drop as they weren't big enough, till I went out in the morning and realized I'd missed the births! Both had singles so maybe your girl only has one in there?
Good news is she's looking a little better already. Steadier on her feet and not circling unless she gets stressed or someone bumps into her. Actually managed to get herself up this morning and can now pee without moving around too. :D
How long do you give the Pen G for? My neighbor keeps it on...
Thank you! I'll pick some yoghurt first thing tomorrow.
Quick update, when I went down to check on her I got her up for a drink and held mom (who's decided to kick her off the teat and walk off if I don't :he) and after she'd drunk her fill she managed to totter off and pee without spinning...
Thank you so much! I'm back from the vet again, they had thiamine so I grabbed that. :D No Pen G, they seem to think she'd be much worse or have already died if it was listeriosis. :/ I hope that means it is goat polio and the thiamine will do the trick. :fl
As for the probiotics, is active...
Hi all,
I haven't been on for a while as it's been so busy here but I need some help. One of my kids, a beautiful doeling is staggering, circling and falling over. :( She was oxygen deprived at birth and was very slow to stand and nurse (I held her up to nurse the first 7 hours of life) but...
Awww! :gig
Just curious, why are they naked? Is it for show or heat management or...? They'd be frozen goaties here at the moment, it's winter! *Brrrrrr*
Pretty girl! Want to put her in a box and post her to me?
I'm using beet to fatten my blind wether, he loves it! He was looking a lot like your girl before I started him on it a month ago and he's looking much more filled out now. The advice for a fecal is good though, I'd get that done...
Yeah, scary how young they can breed. :hide Thank you for the luck with these births, the does will be fine but since I don't even have a date on the doelings (DH knew I'd be mad the buck got out several times so didn't tell me :he) I just have to keep watching them and make sure I'm their for...
Sorry! :hide
Unfortunately that is first hand advise, my DH had a bad habit of turning off the electric fence and forgetting to turn it back on so the buck could just hop over... :he He has been threatened with death if he leaves the fence off again but already I have 2 does getting ready to...
Hate to give you something else to worry about while your working out if he's a buckling or not but... how old is the doeling? If she's 8wo or more you'd be best to separate them as you don't want an 'oopsie' pregnancy!
I would defiantly ring the breeder and see what she has to say. If she...
