We are wanting to band our two 1year old pygmy goats horns..I have researched this and I feel comfortable about doing it then I get nervous.. The reason we need to do this is because my daughter wants to show them in 4-H.. when they say they will grow back slow what does that mean? how long...

We just got two pygmy girls on saturday they are 3 mos old. One was very friendly. The other was so shy! wouldnt come to anyone. We have been going out to the goat pen several times a day playing with them and now the shy one has realized we arnt so bad. She will now jump in your lap and loves...
I'm not 100% sure about no horns for fair that is what the 4-H leader said. I dont remember seeing goats with horns at the fair. It must be a safety issue for the kids. I will look into it though.
