If you read my journal, you will see that I'm CRAZY about lionheads. Always was. Didn't get them first, because DH and I never really had rabbits. So glad we did it this way though. Learned so much from my boys.
Anyway, reading about showing rabbits, it seems the Lionhead breed is having...
OK, the long trip fell through on my end, darn, so I've been working diligently all day yesterday looking for Purebred Lionheads. Found breeders in PA and NJ who really have some awesome lionheads.
So new about colors. Love colors but need to know how to get them.
Have a chance to get...
DH and I are homebodies. Don't venture out on New Years Eve. Never liked being exposed to the "drunk element". I'm the one that usually is awake at Midnight to greet the new year. DH usually falls asleep. I don't remember when the last time he made it to Midnight.
New Years Day...
DH and I have many Jewish friends, past and present, that we hold close to our heart.
To those who are BYH Members, as well as people who visit.
Wishing you a Happy Hanukkah!

Been researching the benefits of apple cider vinegar in water for my rabbits. Can any one point me in the right direction on how much for three rabbits and should it be given daily? Understand the benefits. Just don't understand the amounts.
Thanks for any input.

I don't have a lot of good things to say about TV programs, but this one is a good watch. I really learned a lot regarding livestock. Especially when a sheep has a prolapsed uterus. Amazing how Dr. Pol handled it. He's a really interesting Vet. Looks like Michigan has a good Livestock Vet...
Just to let everyone know, the Federal Government is shutting all communications down for a National Emergency Test.
Here's an article:

I've been reading lots about breeding rabbits because I plan to start up in the Spring of 2012 with purchasing my first breeding rabbits.
This was posted as a suggestion on the Meat Rabbit Recommendation and thought it was sound advise.
I've been back and forth thinking whether I should get...
Win the cutest bunny contest and wake up to a shock
At first thought it was my Polish showing attitude again, but putting two and two together, never knew rabbit's face molt.
Dobby, Kreacher and Will had a romp outside in the crisp, fall air yesterday. They had a ball. And were pooped at...
As I research the issues that will affect my future goats and sheep, not just parasites need to be thought of. Reading many threads about goats, I keep seeing the reference to CD&T shots. Being only familiar to dogs and their shots, I "safe searched" vaccinations for goats and sheep.
Is...
I know Roll and Elevan have brought this up and have discussed this at length. I also have "safe searched" the subject and found an article by Susan McClanahan of the University of Minnesota, and acknowledged by SARE Novel Parasite Control Group & Dr. Kaplan, University of Georgia. It's a PDF...
Ran across this yesterday while looking for a standard flea powder for Jake. Very interesting. Diatomaceous Earth, made in the USA, which is a naturally occurring fine powder composed of crushed fossils. Used to destroy waxy cuter shell of fleas and ticks causing dehydration to the pests...
DH found this. It's worth a look, if nothing else. They do not sell your e-mail but it is worth 12 minutes of your time to look.
Thought I would share this.

I've done a lot of reading about introducing a new member to the herd, but would like some input on how to introduce a new bunny.
The reason why I ask is DH thinks Willard is lonely and should have a mate to share his digs.
Appreciate any input. :)
As you all know, if you read my Journal, DH and I rescued a rabbit at an Exotic Fish store on Saturday. Willard is doing well but I have no idea what he is. Don't know his background other than the Manager finding him in a box at their door Friday morning.
Would love your opinions on

After reading the informative thread of "Feeding Stock" that Old Ram started, it's brought up a lot that I need to look at when purchasing my land for my Livestock Adventure. As DH and I make plans, our plans are looking to get at least 1-2 acres. I think we can utilize that land for what we...
After seeing Jodie's new additions, the conversation here came up to chickens. DH hates chickens. Thinks they are nasty animals. But I reminded him that can't have eggs for your breakfast unless there are chickens. So I showed DH Jodie's Silkies. As they don't look like a traditional...
