Hmm, not sure if it's the same but I had a female who wouldn't hold a prgnancy at first. It took almost a year to sort out the issues. She ended up getting a GnRH shot which may have been Estrumate (not sure). That seemed to get things going for her.

The friends immediately noted the "yet" and I had to backpedal on my hope of having an incubator for chick self...
Sorry to hear this. Hope you are healing well, and things will work out in due time. Of course this is not easy to hear now but you will find ways to stay involved with horses, even if you're unable to ride yourself.

or, to account for some seasonal differences, add two weeks in spring, minus two weeks in fall, and +/- however many days you plan to actually be around when they are getting born. ;) hint for those wondering: they like to be born when you're not around!

Sounds like me. This is my early summer project, to get through 3 yrs (ugh) of 8-14 alpacas' fiber. I am planning go by color to get through it. Bil, have you used the alpaca fiber collective at all? I'll be giving them all my greys at the least.

Around here there is a ton of horse hay but not much alpaca hay. Last year, we got ours from a nearby beef farm who had some extra grass hay, and it lasted through the winter. The other alpaca owners I know have bigger places and get hay that's traveled a bit farther. I'm about to start sourcing...
