do an internet search on "raising worms and rabbits"...........lots of info. The worms actually cut way down on the flies and odors, one of the reasons for doing it. only read lots about it have not done it my self
try your local Craigslist for cages and hutches. someone is always getting out of rabbits and trying to sell their cages.
If you must have new, bass equipment and kw cages both are online with lots of supplies
You can use any chicken recipe for the rabbit. I prefer mine cooked in crock pot with rice and vegetables. Rabbit is a little drier than chicken but the crock pot keeps it all moist.
After cooking I pull all the meat off the bones, eat what I want and refrigerate the rest to use in the...
Some will be fine with being petted, stroked or scratched but many will always hate to be caught and held. Best not to push them, give them time to get used to you. They are in a new place and new people are "caring" for them. If them come to the cage door than pet them.
a 4 month old...
I would not feel obligated to replace rabbits that died after two full months in someone elses care. Maybe if they died the first week or two but not two months. Anything could have happened to them.
You are certainly not responsible for the heat although you should make new owners...

did you change pellets? mine hate changes

Most of mine have slowed down a lot on their eating with the heat around 95 the last couple days. They do eat at nite when it cools off though.
Is she due to deliver? Lots of time they don't eat right before kindling.
Yes, dead is dead but the way of dying is much different. I would rather provide a quick death for an animal than have it die a slow one from starvation, dehydration, animal attack and/or injury.
Unless injured, wildlife should be left where they are seen or found. They know where they are and so do their parents. Moms only feed baby rabbits once or twice a day, she does not stay with the babies.
Ask the people that you are getting them from how much they feed, how often and what all they feed. That way the rabbits won't have too much of a change from what they are used to. Especially with greens, you don't want to suddenly give them large amounts, if they are not used to getting...
They normally give birth after 28-31 days but sometimes go longer. It sounds as if she is getting ready to deliver, showing the signs by making a nest, pulling hair and being a bit grumpy.
However she also could be having a "false" pregnancy and there wont be any babies.
