Better type of Steers to raise?

Our holstein steers will be old enough soon to butchered/sold, and I do not want to raise holsteins again as they have caused more trouble than they are worth! Plus they eat too much! So, I am looking other smaller breeds to be for the next batch of steer raising. Do Jersey steers do better on...

Tomorrow I will milk out that quarter for the last time, and inject the rest of vitamin D that I have in that quarter. Vitamin D is suppose to help fight against the infection, so my hope is that it will also help heal the mammary gland too. Then when she freshens, I will see if it had worked...

Everyone is doing fine, they are fat and sazzy. :D I have been battling mastitis in Bella's right back quarter. It keeps coming back every time I treat her. Its very frustrating. It started back in July 15, and treated her with penicillin, then it was gone right away, but the production in...

Yup, got them from her as she was getting out of them. She sold me all of her AGH breeding stock. You mean registration papers? Olive Hill gave the notice to AGHA the transfer of Ownership of the hogs to me in April 15 and I did not get any papers or anything until June or July!
