This yr i will be banding my boys for the frist time, myself i have always wimp'd out, :fl but now it's time to suck it up :) and just do it!!!:barnie
I put my girls in the kidding stall at about day145, unless they have lost ligs before, they can still see each other so they are not alone, but i think they need a space to themselfs to get comfortable..i do pull babies at birth to bottle feed.
I am glad you have found the problem.... I had to put a collar on one of mine... It has been off for a week now and he is still not yelling...but it will go back on if he starts up again...
I can't wait to get new hay in, this is garbage out here now, and hard to find over here, my hay guy has...
Congrats on your Girls..Seems most i know have had a buck yr, so you are very lucky :)
I am sorry you lost one little one :(
It is alway a relief when it is over and all went well...... :weee
around here goats are seen only has farm animals and dont get the same attention as say cat or dog....
animal control could care less!!!!
so if the owner can and has taken care of the situation and the animal is recovering well... it's been a good day...
I am thrilled your goat is doing so...
