I have two 9 month old nubian/lamancha x does. They went into heat about a month ago for the first time, tail wagging, bleating and some discharge for a few days. Seems the one is at it again, can that be and how often can I expect this? Thanks!

Mine do this too- well the does anyway and one more than the other. I think she is being silly although the phantom horn theory sounds plausible. When she does it, she reminds me of being little and hanging upside down on the swing set. maybe they are having fun?

When I put our goats in at sunset- that's feeding time. I fill up the hay baskets, give them some grain and fresh water. They eat it all by morning. I don't leave any lights on in the pen but I do have a goat cam, to spy on them and during the night if I wake up I can see them, sleeping, chewing...

My wether (6mths old) humps his one sister all the time and she in turn humps her sister! (they are triplets) Seems like more of a dominance thing rather than horny! :-)

I think they love you and want attention! When we brought our three home (at 8 weeks) they bleated a lot! Once I'd go out and sit with them while they browsed, quiet as church mice... then they got more confident and happily spent the day outside- if they saw or heard me, or anyone else for that...
