    Tiny Goat Won't Take Bottle

I decided to cut her feedings down to once every two hours instead of every hour. She seems to not be "deflating" in between meals. I've noticed she hasn't peed since at least 10:30. The vet also said she didn't pee for her( might of said she did a little...a lot of information was trying to get...

    Tiny Goat Won't Take Bottle

I got my baby goat back from the vets at six. They had been feeding her this water solution that had baking soda and something else in it that I can't remember( suppose to help hydrate her ). For the next 27 hours I have to tube feed her the water solution every hour. I might try the bottle...

    Tiny Goat Won't Take Bottle

Alright, so I took the runt that wouldn't take a bottle to the vets at about 10. They took her and put her in an oxygen chamber and are giving her some special mixture to hopefully get her going again. Picking her up later today. Crossing my fingers that she improves:fl!!!

    Tiny Goat Won't Take Bottle

So, just no more tube feeding and try the human baby bottle? Is the thought process that eventually they will get hungry enough to find food? Since you have tiny babies too...how is their size turning out? I might keep one girl since I'm wanting to expand my herd a little, but need want to pick...

    Tiny Goat Won't Take Bottle

My Nigerian Dwarf doe had three kids yesterday. A boy and two girls. The two bigger ones are eating fine, but the runt of the group, who only weight 1lb. 10oz., will not take a bottle. They were born at about 6:30 last night and this runt was tube fed three times already. I almost feel like the...

    Ultrasound Scheduled soon!!!

My Nigerian took four tries before she finally took. The last time I took her we just left her there for a month. I got good timing though because she was in heat the first day and would cycle again just before I picked her up.

    goat isn't eating right

Well I took it to the vet's and they found something but they don't know what. The goat vet wasn't their so the other vet said she was going to send it off to the lab and have them see what it is. She thinks it's some type of worm but she doesn't know exactly what.

    goat isn't eating right

I re took her temp. and it was 102.9. I think it was a bit high earlier because she was in the sun. I called the vet today but she didn't answer so I'll call tomorrow and see if she can run a few fecals for me.

    goat isn't eating right

Rose hasn't been acting right since about a couple weeks before she gave birth on the fifth of September. I took her temp. and it was 104.2. Before she gave birth she had the runs really bad but I assumed it was because I had changed her hay and started increasing grain intake all at once. Well...

    Rosie's kidding thread!

Well Rose pretty much summed it all up for me. I went out this morning to milk and I only got a touch over an ounce of milk. Plus not to mention she refuses to eat on the milk stand plus in order to keep her from "dancing" I had to tie her back legs down. I am going to sell her and her baby as...

Alright I'll look into that. I was just afraid that if the babies ingested the dust kind that it could be bad. Thank you both.

Durvet Ivermectin Pour on for Nursing Does and Their kids

Is it bad to give both the dams and their kids this? Should I just dose the dams and then their kids get what ends up in the milk? What should be a good milk withdrawal time? This is for the buggies they have. Thanks in advance.
