We wanted to use this method, but we learned that the bees still die, they just die more slowly. We've opted to do the alcohol wash as it is more humane. I hate killing any of my bees, but it needs to be done to know how to treat to keep the hive alive.
That's good to know about removing ticks and fleas, I'd not heard that but it makes sense.
Don't know how I stumbled on it - but have used it for at least 20 yrs.
I'm glad you shared it here. It's something everyone should be told. I especially hate ticks, they creep me out...lol
Always good to share. Once you douse them it takes a little bit for them to back out.
