Here's another, "sugar" your bees?

We wanted to use this method, but we learned that the bees still die, they just die more slowly. We've opted to do the alcohol wash as it is more humane. I hate killing any of my bees, but it needs to be done to know how to treat to keep the hive alive.

Alcohol --- that's what I use to make ticks back out and when we had really bad fleas I'd use a Q-tip dipped in it and would get fleas as I brushed and combed.
That's good to know about removing ticks and fleas, I'd not heard that but it makes sense.
