💗🐝Our Backyard Beekeeping Journey!🐝💗

Our Pagoda trees finally arrived. The roots were still nice and wet, but 3 had come out of dormancy and started to grow, which means they got warm. We'll see how they do. Seth also put an extra smaller tree in there. He's been been a great guy to do business with. We also received the Mountain Ash tree we ordered from Amazon. Hopefully they all thrive.

Have them soaking in water for about 60 minutes, then we'll get them planted.

Copying this from "My Backyard Journey Journal". I forgot I was posting about these trees here...lol

Had to channel my inner lumberjack today. I was just finishing the second root and hubs came out and removed a 3rd. I was a little sad and relieved at the same time. Why sad...I love chopping wood... why relieved...I was getting tired... :gig

Mountain Ash is now in its forever home, in our main treeline.

Our bee tree nursery is growing. The 5 Pagoda trees are in the pots to the right.

We still need to figure out where they're all going.

We might be moving 2 of our hives to our friends orchards next week. Cherries & apples. He's the one our son works for. It costs a lot of money for them to bring bees in. Sadly he lost all of his personal orchards. The markets and weather have not been kind to so many. He leases this one. This is a way for us to help him out. He allows us to use his equipment, even if he didn't we'd still be helping him. Hopefully we'll get some full supers of honey. 🍯

The wind died down and the sun came out. So the girls are taking advantage and are all over the almond trees. I love standing underneath and listening to them buzz around.
Sorry, I couldn't choose just one.

In full bloom.

We finally planted the Seven Son Flower, Red Pussy Willow & Pyracomeles.

I decided to plant the Seven Son in my front planter. We had a Beauty Bush we bought last year in there, but decided to move it out into the treeline.

We had 8 more trees and two flowers delivered late today. We'll plant them tomorrow, depending on the weather. Then I think we have 4 more coming, that haven't shipped yet.
