its been YEARS since i raised a bottle piggy and am supposed ot be picking up a couple of orphans tomorrow

Im set up with a crate with a heat pad and playpen in the kitchen, theyll be in the house for a few days since ive got no way to rig up any kind of heat lamps in any of my outside shelters...so inside untill they can better regulate (and this cold snap goes away)

will be feeding whole goats milk and going with pan feding.

just cant remember for the life of me aprox how much per feeding and how many hours between feedings...i rememebr they tend to eat little and often...
can make yogurt too with no issues so plan on adding some goats milk yogurt to the pan too.

these guys are heritidge large breed pigs (old spots) and both are gilts, they are just about 1 week old.

so how often should i be offering these babies milk once i get them home and about how much per feeding at 1 week of age for large heritidge pigs...
these guys have had colostrum.

ust a uick update, managed to get them on pan feedings and they are doing great, funny little girls they are, i love em!
I do NOT suggest trying to hand rear baby pigs unless nessicary, getting them witched was aowrrying (they whent about 18 hours before they started actualy eating) they are MESSY! make doubel the amount of milk cause mos tof its goig on you on them and on the floor, and they are pretty demanding, they WANT my company, if i sit inthe pen with them they are both in my lap for snuggle time ect, but lord help me if i have stuf fto do, 10 mins of screming before they finaly realize its not going to work and go snuggle under the heat lamp lol.

We mix their milk with baby rice or baby oatmeal so it's not so messy. they still need a wipe down afterwards but it helps with the splashing everywhere.
