@MamaBlu - I don't know if you haven't yet gotten other goats because of $$$ or just a moving/getting settled issue, but usually you can find a wether for very little $ and often for free.
If so you could have a companion for your doe and separate her from both bucks. Do you know if she is already bred or not? It really does sound like your big buck may be an issue himself.
I'm not really talking about the dog thing at all, 'cause the expert, @Southern by choice, has already rung in on that, just talking about the goats
. Sounds like the doe needs a constant companion, and either another doe or a wether (a lot less $) is best for that.
I'm really a beginner and you obviously have lots of experience on me, but I just thought I'd mention maybe getting a wether because, like I said, you can often get them for free. I'm just sayin'...
