We had Crockett euthanized yesterday. He took a bad turn on Saturday. There were multiple issues stemming from ehrlichiosis. He tested positive before I got him and was treated. He tested positive again this spring and was treated, both times no symptoms. Shortly after Smitty died he began to ail. We treated kidney problems, then lungs, anemia, no appetite and massive weight loss. Sunday he went blind. The vet struggled to find a vein his blood pressure was so low. So a chapter ends.

I am sorry for you. It has been a devastating year for you, especially recently. He looked happy with his "family" out in the pastures. Remember him that way.
