A suggestion for a forum / subforum

I have a suggestion for a topic on the goat section.

Something like: NEW TO GOAT OWNERSHIP: Information that you might find helpful

We could post links to all the Birthing, worming, lists of stuff to have on hand, what is BOOM, etcetera articles.

OR,

An alternative to that would be

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY: POST HERE...

If you can think of something you'd like to add to it, or find a great informational thread that you'd like to see added to it, please let me know.

You don't have to ask permission to start a new thread in any of the forums to discuss topics such as this. Go ahead and start one if you don't find one that already works for you

My point was more of an ADD a topic like we have

Breeds and Breeding,
Kids and Raising Young Kids,
Behavior and Handling,
etcetera,
we Could add a line for newbies but also for others calledL



New to Goat Ownership, Start here
THen put a bunch of stickies with all those links to RTG and Elevan's good advice and such under it and answer newbie questions. Put lists of stuff new goat owners need like what to have on hand in case of emergencies, and things you would need for your first goat, etcetera.

where people with an emergency can post a question and get a fast answer... Sometimes we have to go through every category to find them and then it might be too late, but those of us who have been goat keeping for a long time would most likely look at that thread first and someone who needs help fast would more likely get an answer faster.

Ok, I get it now.

You're suggesting something like:

"Getting started in <insert animal name here>"

That could be a subforum in each animal forum.


And and Emergencies subforum that could go into the Herds General forum.


Is that what you're describing?

I think the idea of an Emergency area would be ideal. That way if persons only have 15 minutes to looka t BYH, they can look at the Emergency items first.
