I am glad that they are such good neighbors... and realize their responsibility for their dog. That is a very nice welcome change from the majority of the pet/dog/animal owners. Yes, often "we" are quick to judge and assume.... but it comes with the conditioning of many and frequent clashes with irresponsible pet owners.

Hate to say it... but maybe a kennel with concrete base/floor... to keep the dog in when they are not at home, or times when they cannot always keep an eye on him??? Not to be mean, but a "self protection" for the dog....
We all know animals can get loose, livestock roam, things like that... and they are being the most responsible dog owners I have ever heard of.... But even that will get old for them.... so maybe something to protect the dog from himself...
Huskies have an innate instinct to kill things... chickens, cats, waterfowl,.... it's just in them.... had friends that raised huskies in Conn when I was a kid.... and she told me that they got rid of their chickens and their cats because the dogs would just kill them... they just do... and their dogs were like this one... they would literally stop what they were doing if the owner told them to.....immediately.... but left alone, and their brain just did not function that it was wrong..... sad but simple fact of life...

So... when the black Friday sales were on, I bought ALL of the appliances for kid #3's new house. And I also bought a new fridge for me. Sales meant we got about 50% off.

I was SUPER hoping that it would take 3 months for them to ship in.

Haha ha! No such thing. They are in NOW! And they need to be picked up BEFORE Christmas.

I am super busy this week... I just... hack and wheeze, etc.

I have obligations tonight, AND right now I am running through town trying to get errands done fast enough so I can make the next appointment.

Just :th

Talking about kid #3's house... did I already say? It is fully dried in! Peak is taped, all panel edges taped. So NICE! No metal roof yet, it has been stupid windy, so kids have wisely decided to not roof until the wind calms down.

Yeah... appliances are going into a shell of a house.... except his new fridge...I am not sure that should freeze... so he needs to make space in his apartment for that!

AND he needs to bring MY new fridge all of the way to my house.

All before Christmas!!

And that young man has a bunch of leave that goes poof January 1... which he doesn't want to take since they are mid project, and he doesn't want his co-workers to have to pick up the slack if he doesn't show up.

I sure am proud of my kids! :love

The refigerator itself will be fine with freezing this time. IF it has icemaker system, you shouldn't let it freeze after that has been used. We tried to vac and blow all the water out of the icemaker but it froze and split lines when we had to store ours in Iowa. Rest of fridge is still working fine 6yr later.
