Condolences in advance. I hope her end comes swiftly and painlessly. The pain you will feel will last much longer but hopefully will be replaced over time with warm feelings and good memories.

Aleshia passed during the night. She was just as we left her, warm and comfortable with her head on a wool blanket and no signs of struggle.
Ironically, a beautiful white blanket of new snow fell over night as well.
(Grateful that the school closing allowed me to go to the barns alone while the girls slept in.)

I am so sorry but, she's obviously had a long, loving life. It is all we can do for them and you sure did it!
