Chillin' with the herd
My goats all have hay, mineral, and water free-choice, but I'm concerned I'm feeding too much or not enough grain.
First, we have two Nigies -- one that's 10 months old, and one that's 2.5 and just dried off. When my son showed the 10mo old at the fair this year (4-H project) the judge felt she was a little too plump. I'm curious how much y'all would feed for these ages/sizes? My older doe only got grain on the milk stand, and she's a good weight -- but now that she's dried off, I don't want to be feeding too much or too little.
We also recently got two LaMancha does that are 4 months old. They are constant food-beggars and again, I'm curious how much/how often you feed grain for girls this size/age.
