While I was in the house posting pictures of Y22...Y23 was born...His mother (Missy) had him standing and nursing by the time I got to the barn....This is her second Y kid also she kidded 1/20/09, she had a very nice traditional doeling that was added to my doe herd...He is traditionally marked and, as I said, is a billy....He will be a show prospect depending on how he fills out...Pictures to follow...

So here he is...DBV Y23 12/03/09

I think he is a little to dairy goatish to make a good show wether but none the less I'm going to have him dehorned and he will be kept and raised with the rest of this years prospects....Still he is a very nice market kid. He will not be registered, although he could be, but he will carry the DBV Y23 tattoo...He will be dehorned monday 12/14 along with Y24

He is cute. His eye looks like it is wide open giving him that shocked look. :ep

Maybe he was shocked that it was so cold out!
