How long do you keep new kids, and mom seperated from other goats? also, we have a heat lamp set up in the kidding pen, do we start turning it on for mom, or wait until she has her baby?

We turned ours on while Elsie was kidding because it was only about 29 degrees when she kidded. We kept the heat on full time the first 3 days. The last 2 days we have had it on during the night, but turned off during the day as it has been warm outside. Today the kids spent their first afternoon outside, but we turned the heat back on when they came back inside and they seem to appreciate it. They are all int the barrel sacked out sound asleep.
