I am in need of some help! I have rescued a baby piglet that is 3 days old and is completely blind. The previous owner to me that he needed to be fed multi species colostrum by bottle. Someone else told me not the do that. They said the feed him out of a spoon or small bowl. Also to give him save a kid milk replacement with yogurt. Any recommendations is appreciated. I want to make sure this little guy survives and lives his best life.

I know, usually I get tons of help. Thanks for asking about him. I finally got him to the vet and found someone on Facebook that gives some helpful information on piglets. He is doing great and has put on a little weight.

Sorry I did not see your post but things have been very hectic for me and I have not spent as much time looking at new posts as just responding to watched ones and my own journal. I am glad for you that you got some response from FB. At 3 days old I am not sure how they could determine it was totally blind unless it did not have any eyes in the sockets. But if you are getting along with him then that is good for you.

No need to be sorry, believe me I know hectic myself! My little piglet is doing great at this time. We don’t know exactly what happened to him. His corneas are heavily scarred. The doctor and I think he may be able to see shadows but he has to see a specialist in order to confirm that, but I have to wait for him to be a couple of weeks old first.
