Hi all shepherds and shepherdesses!

I’m doing some research for several projects and just need some info.

If anyone has Babtdoll Southdown CROSSES, would you be so kind as to reply with what they have been crossed with and which was the ewe and ram? And your experience with how they lambed. I appreciate your help.

I don't see much of the crosses. I have seen pics of a ewe from a babydoll mother and Icelandic sire. The fleece looked almost identical to a regular babydoll but was significantly longer. She was taller than the babydolls but not a whole lot. A bit more square than most icelandics I see but not as stocky as the babydolls. She would have been fine to have bred to a ram of either breed.

The only thing to watch for with crossing is to not use a big heavy ram on a small framed or real light ewe. You can use a lighter framed ram on a big stocky ewe no problem.
