Starting back up in meat rabbits. Sheep is too strong of a taste to eat much or often, but we ate rabbit much more often.


Who would you keep of the 4 bucks?


Was hoping the blue mutt would be biggest, but he's not & mandolin shaped.

Is there more meat on a commercial type VS mandolin?

Thinking of keeping buck #1 & the two Rex does.
Would you keep buck 1 or one of the others; 2, 3, 4?

First group turns out to be 6mo old and mini rex to NZ.
Because of that, all bucks from that group have now been put in fridge/freezer.

The chocolate mini rex will find a pet home soon.

The 2nd group is 14-19wks or 3.5-4.75 months old. Two bucks from that group are in the freezer.

3rd group is pure Silver Fox. All are breeders and the other two groups will be compared to them to decide who I'll end up keeping or not.
They all need work in one aspect or another, but they've got the size to age ratio better than the mutts.

I'll start a journal about this adventure after this post.


Last two in fridge, now 6 are in fridge/freezer.
