You are probably reacting to the codeine in the hydrocodone with the vomiting. My mother and mother-in-law were both terribly allergic to codeine and when prescribed they had non-stop vomiting. Once they knew it caused that they had the doctor give them a different painkiller. If you cant handle the nausea, call the doctor and ask if they can change the prescription to something without codeine.

I vomit with the hydrocodone as well - but I don't think it's the codeine, at least for me, as I never had a problem with terpinhydrate with codeine cough syrup (is that even still available? I used to get it OTC [showing my age - a friend said welcome to level 7  - I like that!])

I found out I was allergic to codeine when they gave me Tylenol3. This was for a double ear infection after recovering from foot surgery. I was a vomit volcano. That was senior year of high school and I've never topped that misery. C-section, natural birth, etc were more painful but not like that.

I don’t know, it’s worth a try
I also can't take hydrocodone, actually quite a few of the narcotic painkillers don't sit well. If the Arnica doesn't work, you can do ibuprofen and acetaminophen. Try ibuprofen first, if that doesn't cut the pain, you can take acetaminophen between doses.
