Baymule’s Journal

There's got to be a story behind that...........
The usual story. Infidelity becoming good for the goose, good for the gander. Landed me with a wicked stepmother. I’ve referred to my family as the Ronco Problematic. Add people with troubles, alcohol and mash all the buttons. Complimentary Veg-O-Magic for the older generations.

My trip to Greece in September has been not cancelled, but pushed forward to a not yet set date sometime in the future. My dear friend and daughter of the heart has polycystic kidney disease and it is acting up. She has to take 2 infusions per week for months and can't leave and skip a couple of weeks. She enlisted the help of a travel agent who asked her, Do you REALLY want to go there now? Since we have a layover in Turkey, that sounds like good advice. LOL I told Sarah that when we travel we should go incognito and keep a low profile........we could dress in a toga made of an American flag and a Texas flag.
No one would bat an eye...lol
I will be praying for her.
She has gone from full time at work to part time, to give herself time to heal. So she booked a weekend in June in Hot Springs Arkansas for herself, her daughter, her mom and me. She called yesterday and of course I told her I'd go. We will have a good time, relax and just enjoy.
That sounds like fun! 💗

We celebrated Easter yesterday at my sister's with DD and family. Oldest granddaughter had to work and wasn't there, hello real world! Middle granddaughter has hit the stage between little kid easily amused, to not a teenager yet, but trying hard to be one. Youngest is still fun. They dyed Easter eggs, middle granddaughter hid them from youngest, followed by lots of boiled egg eating. Then on to the games. They play cup games. Solo cups, lime green, blue, orange and magenta. I didn't know all those colors were available. I have led a very sheltered life. One game was a line of toilet paper the length of the dining table with a solo cup full of water on the toilet paper. The girls had to slowly and gently pull the toilet paper with the cup full of water, not spilling any because that would result in tearing the toilet paper. The one that was able to pull the cup of water all the way to them, was the winner, or whoever got theirs the farthest. Prizes were awarded.

The last game they played, the whole table was covered with upside down solo cups. There were prizes, trash, money and nothing under the cups. AND a raw egg! Whoever got the raw egg had to bust it on their head after the games or give up all their stuff. DD and DSIL had gone shopping and bought the girls some new clothes, so the claim their prize, there were notes under the cups that said pants or shirt. DD dugs through her bag of goodies and awarded the recipient the proper clothing. There were bracelets, small crafts, and various fun things under the cups. They also got the wrong sizes of clothing and traded. The youngest got the raw egg and we all went outside to watch her smash it on her head. Lots of fun and laughter.
Happy Easter y'all!

Happy Easter!💞

We found freshwater muscle shells at the pond. She picked small flowers in the yard.

Son and I are going to Corpus Christi tomorrow to see middle granddaughter in a school play. The play is Little Orphan Annie and granddaughter has a speaking part, she is a fellow orphan. We will head back home Wednesday.

I got 3/4" of rain on Thursday and 3/4" on Saturday. Not a lot, but it helps. The sheep are going on dry lot to give the grass a chance to get ahead of them. I'm going to figure out a way to fence off the backside of the yard so the sheep can graze the yard area. With all the clean up that's been going on, the back is wide open and the back field is not fenced. Hogs have come back and left big holes in the back field. Once the back field gets fenced, I'm going to disc it from side to side, back to front, probably cris-cross and drag it to smooth it.

My neighbors Sarah and Catherine came over yesterday for Impossible Buttermilk Pie and iced tea. We visited then went out to see the sheep. Buford sniffed them over, growled at Catherine, he didn't like her cap so she dropped it over the gate.. Then she was acceptable. He even took animal crackers from them and hovered close by for more! The sheep did not disappoint, several nosy ones came up for treats and to get shedding wool plucked off. Lots of petting, scratches and rubbing fingers back and forth to loosen up the wool. Some of the girls used the visitors for rubbing posts, which delighted them. They babysat Tinkerbelle and Mabelline when they were tiny bottle babies and got to pet them too. They were awed by how they had grown. Tinkerbell nibbled their fingers in her insatiable quest for milk. Any bare skin she finds will get bumped and she tries to latch on to suck. Catherine and Sarah had so much fun with the sheep.

Carson got lots of attention from Catherine and Sarah too and he got his share of animal crackers. Rocky was grazing in the front yard so we went out on the porch and sat down on the steps. Rocky came up to get petted and scratches. I showed then how to scratch under his chin and stroke the side of his face, NEVER on top of his head, it's an invitation to fight. He got animal crackers too. We had a good visit.

If I touch my ram anywhere on his face, its an invitation to fight. He's a jerk. 😂
