I have jury duty this morning. I've never been chosen for a jury. I faithfully show up for every jury call, but they never want me. I'd like to serve on a jury, but never have. Not even when I WANT on a jury, nope, I must be Kryptonite to those lawyers, I'm not even considered.

I pulled a muscle or something in my lower back, right side. Let's see, was it the 1500 pounds of feed I unloaded by scooping feed in to 5 gallon buckets (6) and dumping into metal trash cans and 55 gallon barrels? Was it the T-posts I pulled up and then drove back into the ground? Or was it the wire I dragged out of the dirt on the bottom where it had become part of the landscape, then rolled up said wire?
I dunno. It made rolling over an adventure in pain that woke me up enough to manage it very carefully. I've taken 3 Advil, something I almost never do, and I'm gonna rub in some Arnicare.

Saturday, 2 of the White Dorpers lambed, a single and twins. I need to get a 2026 and December 2025 lambing thread started.

Lost souls! My son dealt with so many of them when he was in the State Patrol. Truly heartbreaking. They closed the mental institutions and that's why there are so many on the streets now and now we have so many idiots in charge that want to provide needles and save injection sites. Not helping them, just fueling their illness.

Per my son, METH users can be very dangerous when they are hopped up, best to stay clear of them. 🙁

This is Texas. Castle law.
I'm in blue WA, but at least we can still carry here. They keep trying, but they keep losing.

I was chosen for the jury. Capital murder case. I got home last night and barely had time to feed and water, finished in the dark. They brought in a judge from another district, he said we’d be finished this week but the bailiff said the county blocked out 2 weeks. I’ve never ever been chosen and I’ve wanted to serve. Finally after years of showing up, finally at age 70, I’ve been chosen. Have to be there at 7:45, have to leave here at 7. Judge lets us out at 4:45 to give us time to get home before dark. But I’m doing chores as fast as I can and still finished in the dark. Sunrise is at 7:07 so I’ll be out there in the dark. Gonna be a tough week. Or two.

I’m good at sitting still in my recliner. I’m not good at sitting still in a chair. I jiggle my leg, then the other leg, then both legs. Probably driving the people sitting next to me nuts.

I’ve got blue jeans in the washing machine and I’ll get them hung out before I leave. Had another lamb yesterday morning. Tiny had a single ram. She has always had twins and triplets, she had triplets last time. I guess she needed a break and that’s ok. I’ll wait and see what her triplet sisters have. Since she only had one, I was worried about her and raced home st lunch break to check on her, she was ok, just one. I timed it that I’d have 12 minutes at home before racing back, was a few minutes late. Lunch will be provided, so no leaving at lunch.
