If I was trying to be a one stop shot for my few heads of cattle, what would be the best grains to grow to turn into animal feed? I heavily planted white/red/ and no bloat clover through the pasture. I was thinking some type of corn and possibly oats.
A: what type of corn would be the most cost effective for feed?
B: would all the space be better used as just more pasture with more legumes?
I am located in Western NC, so alfalfa doesn't grow well I am told.
