I bought 4 rabbits from the same litter back in March and I separated them into pairs because I was told that 2 were girls and 2 were boys. Recently finding out that they are all girls, I would like to have them all back together. They have been together in a huge run (but still separated) and have groomed and snuggled up through the metal fencing. I have been told that these are positive signs of 'bonding' and that I can move forward with it. They have been in this common area for a few months together but I want to remove the gate. Should I go ahead and just remove it permanently or start with removing it for a few minutes at a time throughout the day..? Any advice would be great! Looking to start the full bonding process ASAP so they can be housed in the barn together for the winter.

I would pick a time when you can sit and watch for an hour. Bring a chair and a book.

Remove the divider and then sit and watch.

By the end of an hour you should know if they are fine together.
