Boone-My Anatolian Unicorn

Boone is REALLY super special!!!
He is, but he’s not the smartest dog I’ve ever had, by far. He’s convinced me that we sell most of them short and all dogs are capable of so much more than we recognize, if we could only spend the time and communicate with them better

I could not be more pleased and proud of this boy! He’s been absolutely solid all day today! Breakfast, Lowe’s, hospital Dr office, labs for blood draw, he is the best!

People going past him, stepping over him, rolling carts, picking up a BP pole and lifting it over him…he is unflappable!
Everyone loves him, strangers beg to give him cookies…he’s just the best boy!
He made me super happy today. I could not have done it without him. As it is, I’m already hurting from so much walking! 😂

Boone is growing up. These dogs just take awhile to get there. You have laid a solid foundation. All the times he was being a goofball, he was learning. It seems like all of a sudden, he’s got it, but he’s had it all along due to your intensive training, rewards and patience. Congratulations. Well done Boone.

I agree! I once had a rottie/husky that had been found at a dumpster at around 6mos old. It took a while to make that connection but once we did, I SWEAR that dog really Did understand just about everything I told him. I never attempted training/communication on the level you & Boone have achieved. But just everyday stuff. He knew the names of lots of things & all the animals he lived with. Dogs are amazing.
