I just got a 3 week old buckling and switched him from "mom" to bottle feeding using goat mild. He now has diarrhea and I don't know if it's the stress of leaving mom and or if I am feeding him too much. I feed him 3 times a day with a 20 oz bottle. He does not always eat it all, but sometimes does. I have been treating him for the last three days with Albon. Any ideas?

If you think he's eating too much, try cutting back a bit and see what happens. My two doelings are now getting 3 18 oz bottles per day, but they JUST started getting that much. Until they were a month old they got 2 18 oz bottles and 1 8 oz bottle because they just didn't need/want more.

I cut back on the amount of mile I feed to about 12 oz and I feed him an extra time during the day. This seems to have fixed the problem and his poops look normal again. Phew!
