My 3 mo flemish doe has just started nipping. She doesn't seem upset or anything, she just sniffs around then nips. We just brought home a flemish buck, a little younger. He nips too, but hasn't been handled like she has. I figured his nipping is because of fear, but I have no explaination for hers. We have had her since she was 6 wks old and she has been handled a lot. They are pets. Suggestions?

Does she have salt? I remember one group of young rabbits started biting hands for salt.

Yes, he has salt, although I haven't seen him lick it. My doe licked us constantly when she was little. I gave her a salt wheel and she stopped almost immediately. Gunther still bites, but the girls have noticed that he reaches up to be picked up and isn't biting as much. I think he just hadn't been handled very much. Hopefully the biting phase will pass.
