butchering 7 month old buck

I have a 7 month old buck that is destined for freezer camp. Since he is so young and has no " bucky smell" is it ok not to castrate him before butchering or will the meat still taste tainted?

I'm wondering same thing.
Mine is not behaving like a buck yet. Although he is rather pushy and aggressive with the others like a buck.
I'm wondering if you just be real careful with scent glands and hang it a bit.
There's always pepperoni. LOL

I would castrate him and then fatten up for a month and than the freezer camp.
