Caleb's Chronicles

AND. that's just one of the nice things about this forum -- any time, any day 🥰. Many of us live alone. This is a social activity, a check in spot.

Plus, like minded people. They understand the stresses and issues faced with livestock, repairs, locating needed stuff, your time and $$ struggles. The concerns "city folk" just don't have. It's a different world between the two lifestyles. :old
Absolutely . I'm glad I came back.

My sisters used to think I was crazy, meeting people I'd befriended through the internet. But meeting people you've conversed with for months, and in public locations, isn't as risky as they used to think. I first met AOL friends in 1997. Never had a bad experience.
My two dearest friends are online forum friends. One is in Washington and one is in Kentucky. The one in Kentucky I drove 6 hours farther to meet for the first time when I went to look at properties in MO one trip. We'd moderated forums together for nearly two decades but never met in person. He was my dear online friend and to this day we are close. He's our biggest supporter for this move. He's of poor healthy these days but still say's he's coming to see our new place when we are in. It's 4 hours from his house the way he drives. My other dear friend I drove an extra 4 hours to meet when I went to pick up a load of cattle I'd purchased. Picked up the cows and drove to her place. We had supper and coffee in the morning and I headed home. I cherish our friendship. It was great to meet in person and she's offered to come help drive loads while we move but she's got her own bit of chaos right now so we haven't taken her up on that offer yet. We speak very often on the phone and text every day. We are very close friends now. She leans on me and I lean on her. I love them both (and their spouses) dearly.
One thing I have always joked about... is I go to the cattle auctions because they are my social life...:hide:hide:gig

I do go to meetings, seminars about cattle things, grazing, etc... and poultry things.
Wait?! That isn't supposed to be our social life???? :hide :hide :gig
We're glad you're here, too.
I second this!!! I really like you @GLENMAR :hugs ❤️

The tree guys are here.

Oh, my, me too!

It wasn't AOL, was it? My best online friend and I volunteered, were "Community Leaders" in The Grandstand's boxing forum.
