Well I was thinking we would be having yak babies from Late May through July but we have a little black baby in field.

Here "it" is with its momma, Pixie. Dad still hasn't seen it stand but my money is on it is fine.....It shall remain and it until such time as it pees or momma is very distracted.

Standing and doing well. Sex is still unknown. :)

That is exciting!

I am hoping to know what it is fairly soon. We have had one calf whose mom let us check it out immediately and another who we didn't know for close to 6 weeks.

Unfortunately the little guy didn't make it. We have a couple of theories as to what happened.
Bummed but it happens.
